Job summary

QuantWare in Delft, Netherlands, is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer to scale manufacturing for quantum processors. You will lead tool installations, maintain equipment uptime, and work with a small, high-ownership team to bring new tools online quickly.

The role spans high-vacuum lithography tooling, dilution refrigeration, and lab equipment, requiring hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration with Process Engineering to keep production in lock-step.

Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or cleanroom tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to lead installations and coordinate with OEMs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end installations with OEMs: planning, FAT/SAT, and through IQ/OQ to get capacity qualified and in production as early as possible
  • Own preventive maintenance: define, perform and continuously optimize PM schedules, spares, and documentation to maximize uptime
  • Drive corrective maintenance: rapid troubleshooting, deep root-cause analysis, permanent corrective actions, and clear reporting
  • Build the new fab: support the commissioning of our state-of-the-art cleanroom and nanofab line as part of scaling manufacturing
  • Tight process-equipment alignment: work closely with Process Engineering to ensure equipment capabilities and process requirements stay in lock-step

As a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer , you will play a critical role in scaling our manufacturing capabilities. Working in a small, high-ownership team, your mission is to bring new tools online fast and keep them running with exceptional reliability. These tools range from high-vacuum nanofabrication tools (lithography, etching, deposition), to dilution refrigerators, and from advanced characterization equipment to lab equipment.
