Job summary

ASM is hiring an Engineering Technician, Field Service to support installation and on-site service of hardware. The role requires travel 25%–50%, shift and on-call work, and a valid driver's license. Fresh graduates are encouraged; internship experience helpful.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot equipment, and communicate findings to internal teams while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on customer sites across domestic and international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering.
• Internships or hands-on experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, or automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and expertly support hardware issues.
• Ensure the relevance of technical information used internally and externally.
• Communicate field data, customer feedback, and equipment performance to internal teams.
• Perform travel to customer sites as required.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements on-site.
• Provide on-site service and additional tasks as assigned.

Job details

Shift work/On call working mode will be required.
Valid driver's license is required for this role.Domestic and International travel of at least 25%~50% will be required for this role.The actual job grade will be determined based on skill set and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure excellent execution of installation and support of hardware issues.
• Ensure the relevance of technical information used by internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure communication vehicles, e.g. telephone, email, and presentation, etc. are able to facilitate efficient and consistent customer follow-up.
• Additional assigned tasks when necessary.
• Business travel when necessary. ( travel frequency 50% a year)
• Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while working on-site, ensuring all activities are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
• Collect and communicate field data, customer feedback, and equipment performance insights to internal teams for continuous product and service improvement.

Requirement:

• Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• No prior experience required, but internships or hands-on experience in a related field is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, or automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering diagrams.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software for equipment troubleshooting.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work at customer sites.
