Job summary

Destinus in the Netherlands is seeking a hands-on mechanical/assembly technician to build and troubleshoot turbojet engines on the production floor. You will follow engineering documentation and safety standards while assembling and testing complex propulsion systems that impact performance and reliability.

You will document measurements, results, and observations, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with engineers to ensure on-time flight readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on assembly or testing experience on mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail in a high‑precision environment.
• Fluency in Dutch and English for communication on the floor and with teams.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy engine components safely.

• MBO3+ or equivalent work and thinking level in the field of rotational machinery or mechanics.
• You are result‑oriented, accurate, and have strong planning and organization skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in the assembly or testing
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Good Dutch and English communication skills.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy engine components safely.
