Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer (C) to develop, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions for embedded software. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product quality across global projects.

You will design test strategies, create specifications, and drive process improvements using state‑of‑the‑art testing tools. Fluent English is essential, and German is a plus in our international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in embedded software testing.
• Hands‑on experience with testing and programming tools such as LabVIEW, LabVIEW CVI, C, C#, Visual Basic, Python, and SQL databases.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet, DeviceNet, or CC-Link.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within international teams.
• Fluent in English; German is considered an advantage.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated software test systems, including both hardware and software components.

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional, multicultural, and globally distributed teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
