Job description

We’re recruiting for a fast-moving technology company building compact, safety-critical electronics for high-energy electrified systems. This is a practical engineering role with real ownership: you’ll take designs from schematic to layout to assembled prototypes, then diagnose issues on the bench until the hardware performs reliably.

The electronics operate in demanding environments (high voltage, temperature variation, vibration), so the work is equal parts careful design and disciplined validation. If you enjoy getting your hands on hardware—soldering, rework, probing signals, and iterating quickly—this will suit you well.

What you’ll do
  • Design BMS circuits, PCBs, and electrical schematics in Altium Designer
  • Create manufacturable layouts, manage BOMs, and support component/library choices
  • Build prototypes, solder/rework boards, and debug using lab equipment (oscilloscope, power analyzer, JTAG, etc.)
  • Perform cell balancing, power distribution analysis, and efficiency/energy-performance optimization
  • Validate electronics under real-world stress conditions (thermal, vibration, high voltage)
  • Support compliance-related requirements and documentation (CE, IEC, UN38.3)
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and software/embedded colleagues for system integration
  • Document specifications, test results, and safety procedures
  • Help establish robust electronics design and test workflows as development transitions from prototypes to production
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in PCB design and hardware development
  • Strong Altium Designer capability (schematics, layout, BOMs)
  • A hands‑on approach: comfortable soldering, troubleshooting, and fixing issues yourself
  • Experience with power electronics, BMS design, and/or high-voltage safety principles
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and processes (CE, IEC, UN38.3)
Nice to have
  • Embedded systems exposure and board bring‑up experience
  • Experience in regulated or safety‑critical product environments
What’s offered
  • 38 paid days off/year
  • Daily lunch provided
  • A pragmatic, low‑bureaucracy environment with team events
  • Freedom to shape your scope and take meaningful ownership
