Job summary

Starion is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to join ESA’s ESTEC site in Noordwijk, Netherlands, to help design, operate and optimize environmental test facilities for space hardware.

You will work within an international team, oversee maintenance and calibration, support campaigns, and contribute technical input to key project reviews and tender evaluations, primarily as part of the AIV panel. Fluency in English and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience with design, operation and maintenance of environmental test facilities for space hardware.
• Experience supporting environmental test campaigns for space programmes.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, such as Mechanics, Electronics, Aeronautics or Astronautics.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Hands‑on experience in the design, operation and maintenance of environmental test facilities, or comparable equipment, used for space hardware.
• Experience supporting environmental test campaigns for space programmes.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to work both independently and within an international, multicultural team.
• A solution‑focused mindset, combined with strong, customer‑oriented communication skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
