Job summary

Swire Renewable Energy is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians for onshore wind projects across Europe, particularly for Vestas pre‑assembly projects in Denmark and retrofit campaigns in the Netherlands. Candidates should have a strong background in electrical work, ideally with experience in wind projects.

Principal responsibilities include installation and inspection of components, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of electrical experience in the wind industry, preferably with Vestas.
• GWO BST + BTT Electrical & Hydraulic training.
• LOTO 2 and Electrical Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and route electrical components of wind turbines.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and verification of electrical systems.
• Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards in dynamic working environments.

Requirements for Vestas Pre‑Assembly Projects (Denmark)

• 2–3 years of electrical experience in the wind industry, preferably Vestas
• Full GWO BST + BTT Electrical & Hydraulic
• LOTO 2 (Electrical) & Electrical Safety (Ordinary/Qualified Person)
• Safe Torque & Tension
• Lift User (including Avanti systems)
• Forklift / Telehandler
• ActSafe Power Ascender & Stop the Drop
• Valid passport & driver’s license, with the right to work in the EU
• Good English communication skills (verbal & written)

Additional Requirements for Retrofit Campaigns (Netherlands)

• GWO Enhanced First Aid
• GWO Advanced Rescue Training
• GWO BTT Full: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Bolting & Installation
• GWO Slinger Signaller
• Fire Prevention Awareness
• Tool Tethering
• ESQ and WTSR MMI & Core
• Valid electrical certification

Main Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and route electrical components of wind turbines, including cables, cabinets, sensors, transformers, and control systems
• Perform electrical assembly, retrofit, pre‑assembly, and installation activities in factory and site environments
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and verification of electrical systems according to project procedures and safety standards
• Carry out maintenance, replacement, and repair of electrical components when required
• Support commissioning and functional checks to ensure proper turbine operation
• Follow LOTO, electrical safety, and quality procedures at all times
• Collaborate with supervisors, coordinators, and operational teams to complete tasks safely and within project deadlines
• Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards in dynamic working environments
