Job description

Transportation Engineer

Performing project design calculations and roadway modeling. Preparing project reports, plans, and specifications. Analyzing roadway design for conflicts with existing and proposed utilities. Designing surface drainage conveyance and storm sewer networks for roadway corridors. Designing maintenance of traffic plans for construction phasing and operations. Designing pavement marking and traffic signing plans. Analyzing BMP features to treat water quality and water quantity runoff on project sites. Reviewing traffic studies and data for implementation in roadway plans. Analyzing design concepts and alternatives for optimized roadway and trail network projects. Calculating quantities for engineering estimates. Assisting office leadership in the preparation of proposal documents and preliminary project evaluations. Coordinating project tasks and reporting to project manager and supervisory staff to assist in budgeting, scheduling, and project status tracking.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering and two years experience as a Transportation Engineer, Traffic and Transportation Civil Associate II, or Traffic and Transportation Engineer.
