Job summary

High Tech Campus Eindhoven seeks an Electronics Technician & ECAD Library Specialist to bridge hardware prototyping and digital design data. You will manage Altium Designer libraries, create and validate IPC-compliant symbols, footprints, and 3D models, and ensure data integrity for the engineering team.

In this hybrid role, you will solder and prototype SMT assemblies, assist with testing, document procedures, and oversee library reviews and part lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years hands-on electronics experience.
• Strong ability to read datasheets and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with Altium Designer and IPC standards.
• Soldering and rework on fine-pitch SMT components.

Responsibilities

• ECAD Library & Component Management
• Create and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints and 3D STEP models
• Design land patterns per IPC-7351B/C standards
• Verify data integrity with datasheets, pin mappings and tolerances
• Manage component lifecycles and supplier data via import/search tools
• Gatekeeper for the library: review, verify, and release components
• PCB assembly support: high-precision SMT soldering and rework
• Testing, debugging, and documenting lab results
