Job summary

Hunter Philips in the Netherlands is seeking a Contract Power System Engineer specializing in dynamic grid modelling (PSS/E & PSCAD) to join a major transmission project dedicated to expanding offshore grid capabilities.

You will develop and assess power-system models, analyze dynamics and stability, translate specifications into grid models, and define technical profiles for new connections. International candidates are welcome to relocate to the Netherlands.

Qualifications

Strong background in Electrical Engineering and Power Systems.
Experience with PSS/E is required.
Experience with PSCAD is required.
Experience with grid modelling and power-system studies.

Responsibilities

Develop and assess power-system models using PSS/E and PSCAD.
Analyse system dynamics, stability and network behaviour across a complex transmission system.
Translate engineering specifications into grid models, technical requirements and system studies.
Define technical profiles and requirements for new parties connecting to the transmission system.
Support offshore transmission and grid-integration capability development.
Provide specialist power-system input into complex network conditions and system behaviour.
