Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. We are seeking a Bilingual Dutch (Netherlands) STEM Expert (PhD) on a contract basis to support AI safety work in a remote setting.

You will write expert prompts in Dutch, evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy and safety, apply structured guidelines to classification, and collaborate with AI research teams to improve Dutch-language handling.

Competenze

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or closely related field — ongoing or completed.
• Native or near-native fluency in Dutch as spoken in the Netherlands.
• Business-level written English.
• Currently based in the Netherlands.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and dual-use information.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry , biology , or a closely related field - ongoing or completed.
• Native or near-native fluency in Dutch as spoken in the Netherlands.
• Business-level written English .
• Currently based in the Netherlands .
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background.
• Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield such as organic or inorganic synthesis , molecular biology , microbiology , virology , or genetics .
• Research or coursework on chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.
• Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
