Job description

Are you interested in embedded software and Digital Signal Processing (DSP)? And do you want to create products that make a real difference to people with hearing difficulties?

We are looking for a DSP Software Developer who is enthusiastic about audio, sound, technology, problem solving, algorithms and optimization.

We welcome candidates from all experience levels, whether you are just graduating, have a few years of experience, or bring senior expertise. What matters most to us is your aptitude and your genuine interest in audio, technology, problem solving, algorithms, and optimization.

The team you will be part of:

  • Develop, adapt and optimize these algorithms onto our ultra-low-power DSP platform

  • Create efficient and maintainable code

  • Be responsible for the testing of your team deliveries to ensure high quality (module tests, unit tests and electrical input/output tests)

  • Investigate and fix defects found in our platform

  • Translate product requirements to clear development tasks according to the agile scrum development methodology

  • Deliver realistic effort estimates on development tasks

  • Write and maintain concise yet comprehensive technical documentation

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you:
  • Hold a degree in electrical engineering, embedded systems, computer science, physics or a comparable technical field

  • Have experience with C, assembly, C#, Matlab (at least a couple of these)

  • Have experience with signal processing – fixed-point and floating-point DSP programming, experience with electro-acoustic or psychoacoustics is advantageous

  • Experience with algorithm design, implementation or simulation

  • Experience with debugging and problem solving

  • Experience with Continuous Integration

  • Experience with tools like Git, TFS and Jenkins (or similar)

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies – SAFe is a valuable addition

  • Fluent speaking, reading and writing in English is a prerequisite. Knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.

Your effective communication skills allow you to collaborate easily with colleagues in your local team and remotely across the organization, and you can raise criticism constructively.
