Job summary

EPAM Advisory in the Netherlands seeks a Director to own senior client relationships, lead large engagements, and transform complex business and technology challenges into clear proposals with measurable outcomes. Qualifications

• 10+ years in management consulting or technology advisory with focus on retail, ecommerce or consumer goods.
• Experience in AI-enabled transformation in retail, incl GenAI, with clear commercial value.
• Proven track record owning and growing senior client relationships at CTO/CDO/CMO/COO level.
• Led large or multiple concurrent engagements from proposal through delivery.
• Deep understanding of the retail value chain from product to revenue management.
• Fluent Dutch and English; able to advise senior stakeholders in Dutch.

You will lead large or multiple concurrent engagements and turn complex business and technology challenges into compelling proposals and measurable outcomes. You will be a recognized voice with clients and in the market, and you will play a direct role in growing our people and our practice.

• Lead complex engagements.
• Oversee large or concurrent programs in areas such as omnichannel commerce, AI and data strategy, supply chain and ERP modernization, retail media and revenue growth management.
• Ensure delivery quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction

• Turn complex retail and consumer goods challenges into clear recommendations that EPAM’s engineering, data and AI teams can deliver.

• Develop viewpoints and represent EPAM Advisory at client, industry and leadership forums.
• Strengthen our credibility in the Dutch retail and consumer goods market

• Coach and sponsor consultants, strengthen the leadership pipeline and contribute to practice development, methods and published insights

Requirements

• A degree or equivalent professional experience
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in management consulting or technology advisory, with significant focus on retail, grocery, fashion, e-commerce or consumer goods
• Experience in AI-enabled transformation in retail or consumer goods, including GenAI and agentic AI, with a clear view of how AI creates commercial value
• A strong track record of owning and growing senior client relationships at CTO, CDO, CMO or COO level, including business development and pipeline responsibility
• Proven experience leading large or multiple concurrent engagements, from proposal through delivery, in retail or consumer goods
• Deep understanding of the retail and consumer goods value chain, from product development and supply chain to omnichannel commerce, store operations, marketing and revenue management
• Working knowledge of one or more areas: composable commerce; ERP and supply chain systems; retail media; personalization and data architecture; revenue growth management; digital operating model design
• Fluent Dutch and English, with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and lead client engagements in Dutch
• Demonstrated market visibility through thought leadership, industry participation, conference contributions or equivalent executive-level influence
• A strong track record of coaching consultants and developing future leaders
• Nice to have Direct industry experience within a major retailer or consumer goods company
• An established network within the Dutch retail and consumer goods community at CTO, CDO or CMO level
• Direct exposure to retail media, AI-powered pricing, personalization or revenue growth management in retail or consumer goods
• Knowledge of leading retail and consumer goods technology platforms, such as SAP, Adobe Commerce, commercetools, Salesforce, Bloomreach or Fluent Commerce, or equivalent
• Active involvement in retail industry associations or forums, such as CBL, the Dutch grocery retail association
