Job summary

Hunter Douglas is offering a six-month Digital R&D Internship in Rotterdam to support the development of a new production capability. You will create and organise digital print files, help develop a structured file-management database, and assist in standardising production processes.

You will work with R&D, Product Development, Operations, IT and Quality to improve local manufacturing efficiency and printing quality.

Qualifications

• Currently studying the specified design/IT-related fields.
• Strong digital file-management and computer skills.
• Fluent English; Dutch a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with MS Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production-ready digital RIP print files.
• Prepare and optimise artwork for industrial textile printing.
• Support print testing and validation activities.
• Ensure digital files meet quality and production standards.
• Develop and maintain a structured database of digital print files.
• Organise files with clear naming conventions and version control.
• Document procedures and best practices for file creation and management.
• Create user guides and practical work instructions.
• Support development of quality-control procedures and print standards.
• Track milestones, deliverables and progress.
• Participate in project meetings and stakeholder discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual activities.
• Assist handover of systems and documentation at project end.
