Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in Leiden, Netherlands, seeks an experienced Paperless Lab Design Lead to drive digital laboratory systems within an Advanced Therapies Quality Control environment. This role acts as the SME for paperless initiatives, guiding method digitalization, standardization, and harmonization across lab SMEs, quality teams, and system stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical sciences, life sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in QA, QC, analytical testing, IT, or related functions.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, advanced therapies, or another highly regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience with LIMS platforms, preferably LabVantage.
• Experience as a key user, business administrator, or system owner for digital laboratory systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive harmonization activities and convert paper based laboratory methods into digital workflows.
• Create, configure, and maintain method execution templates within the LIMS platform.
• Support change control impact assessments when required.
• Contribute to the design and management of master data used in digital laboratory methods.
• Coordinate master data validation activities.
• Create and update technical documentation following standardization processes.
• Manage enhancements and modifications to existing digital methods.
• Deliver training and support to laboratory personnel on newly deployed digital methods.
• Serve as the primary contact for laboratory system related questions.
• Assist with setup, testing, and validation of LIMS instrument interfaces.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paperless Lab Design Lead to support the deployment, optimization, and maintenance of digital laboratory systems within an Advanced Therapies Quality Control environment in Leiden, Netherlands. This role serves as the subject matter expert for paperless laboratory initiatives, driving method digitalization, standardization, and harmonization while working closely with laboratory SMEs, quality teams, and system stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical sciences, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline


• Advanced degree preferred


• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Analytical Testing, IT, or related functions


• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, advanced therapies, or another highly regulated industry


• Knowledge of laboratory testing techniques is preferred


• Hands on experience with LIMS platforms, preferably Lab Vantage


• Experience as a key user, business administrator, or system owner for digital laboratory systems


• Understanding laboratory instrument integration with LIMS is an advantage


• Experience participating in process improvement projects
