Job description

The Role

We are looking for a Digital Brand Manager & Creative Researcher to play a central role in researching, positioning, and building early visibility for our Original concepts. We are looking ahead and wanting to future‑proof our position.

This role has two distinct but interconnected pillars:

  • Creative & Market Research – identifying viability, opportunity, partnerships, and placement
  • Digital Brand Curation – shaping how each concept is presented visually and digitally to the world

You will help determine whether an idea has real potential, where it could live globally, who it could partner with, and how it should be positioned to generate belief, traction, and alignment. Your work enables Originals to move forward into partnership and investment with clarity and credibility.

What You’ll Do
Creative Research & Market Mapping
  • Research and stay ahead of cultural, technological, entertainment, and location‑based project trends ensuring Originals are relevant, timely and future‑facing
  • Analyse international markets, territories, and audience behaviours
  • Identify where concepts could realistically live, operate, and scale
  • Map potential venue partnerships, investment partners, operators, and collaborators
  • Proactively research and reach out to relevant players in the market
  • Assess differentiation, feasibility, and long‑term viability
  • Translate research into structured insight that informs positioning and next steps
  • Conduct both online and offline brand and cultural research to identify emerging signals, shifts in audience behaviour, and evolving creative landscapes
  • Monitor digital ecosystems, physical cultural spaces, and industry movements to keep Originals positioned ahead of the curve
Partnership & Investment Research
  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships aligned with the long‑term positioning and scalability of each Original
  • Research investment landscapes relevant to original experiences and scalable intellectual property
  • Support early conversations with venues, partners, and stakeholders through informed insights
  • Track comparable formats and partnership models internationally
  • Identify brand‑aligned collaborators, promoters, and ecosystem partners that strengthen global positioning
Positioning & Narrative Framing
  • Help define how each Original is framed, described, and communicated
  • Shape compelling narratives around concept, intent, and audience value
  • Support the articulation of intellectual property in a way that communicates intrigue, scale and longevity
  • Support the global positioning of Originals across territories, ensuring consistency of narrative while allowing for cultural adaptation
Digital Brand Curation & Presence
  • Curate and develop a digital presence for each Original concept (web, social, digital touchpoints)
  • Ensure digital positioning is visually engaging, resonant, and aligned with the intended market
  • Work with creatives to translate concepts into strong visual and digital storytelling systems
  • Maintain and evolve digital visibility as projects gain validation and maturity
Collaboration & Alignment
  • Work as a core member of the Originals team within The Storytelling Company
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Art Direction, and New Business colleagues
  • Support presentations, decks, and materials used for partnership and investment discussions
About The Storytelling Company

The Storytelling Company creates experiences and cultural products at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and spatial design. Alongside commissioned work, our Originals department develops self‑initiated concepts: original experiences and location‑based products designed to scale, travel, and exist across markets and locations worldwide. These Originals, designed by flora & fauna visions, are developed as scalable formats and intellectual property. They are explored, refined, and brought into focus before stepping into partnership, investment, and ultimate realisation within The Storytelling Company.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone who combines analytical research capability with strong digital positioning instincts, and who understands international markets.

You bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in original experiences, location‑based projects, cultural products, or live entertainment contexts
  • Experience in creative research, market mapping, or early‑stage concept validation
  • Strong understanding of international markets and cross‑border cultural dynamics
  • Strong instinct for cultural timing and trend anticipation, with the ability to position concepts proactively rather than reactively
  • Experience researching partnerships, investment landscapes, or venue ecosystems
  • Confidence identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders in the market
  • Strong understanding of digital branding, positioning, and visual storytelling
  • Ability to separate research logic from brand expression while connecting both strategically
  • A structured, curious, and proactive way of working
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience working with scalable intellectual property, touring formats, or internationally deployed concepts is a strong plus.

What We Offer
  • A full‑time role within The Storytelling Company’s Originals department
  • The opportunity to shape how original experiences and location‑based products are researched, positioned, and introduced to the market
  • A collaborative, interdisciplinary environment spanning strategy, creativity, and commercial development
  • Space to experiment, explore, and build early momentum around new intellectual property
  • Flexible working setup (Berlin / Netherlands / hybrid / remote)
  • A culture that values curiosity, clarity, international thinking, and thoughtful execution
