Job summary

TU Delft is seeking an automation engineer to help transform our data centre and campus network into code-driven infrastructure. You will deploy, configure and register services using Ansible, Terraform, NetBox, GitLab CI and Python, building an internal platform that lets other ICT teams consume standardised infrastructure services securely.

You will join the Campus Connectivity team and work in a Dutch/English environment.

Qualifications

• Automation of production infrastructure with code (Ansible, Terraform or similar) and lessons learned.
• Proficient in Python to build own tooling rather than copy scripts.
• Comfortable working with Linux and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to non-engineers and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Automate deployment, configuration and registration of data centre, network and platform services.
• Develop internal platform to enable teams to securely consume standardised infra services.
• Work with NetBox as a source of truth for configurations and automation.
• Contribute to event-driven orchestration and governance of platforms.
