Job summary

TU Delft is seeking an automation engineer to help transform its campus IT infrastructure from manual operations to code-based workflows. You will drive infrastructure as code across data centres, networks and services, using tools like Ansible, Terraform and NetBox, with GitLab CI and Python to automate deployments.

You will contribute to a shared automation landscape, build reliable configuration management, and work with security and compliance requirements within a research environment.

Qualifications

• Automation of production infrastructure using code (Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi).
• Python programming to build tooling beyond scripts.
• Experience with Linux and version control (Git).
• Understanding of CI/CD and security via design.

Responsibilities

• Automate deployment, configuration and registration of data centre, network and platform services using IaC tools.
• Help build internal platform to enable other teams to consume standardised infra services.
• Shape technical direction and advocate improvements and new tooling.
