Job description

In this role, you manage all aspects of development works, covering both new developments and existing assets across a range of sector classes. You design and project manage schemes independently, from the initial design stage through authority submission, construction and final handover, and you are well versed in local authority submission processes across European markets.

You lead the in-house design and costing process during feasibility, coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders to identify project risks and ensure design efficiency and cost control before project conversion.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage the shortlisting and pre-qualification of consultants, contractors and vendors, and lead procurement in line with corporate DOA and compliance requirements.
  • Develop design concepts and briefs aligned with company and project strategy, and manage design consultants and relevant authorities to secure timely regulatory approval.
  • Manage construction and contract administration, forecasting and tracking site progress, cost and quality throughout the construction stage.
  • Manage project schedules, quality inspections and budgets to ensure time, cost and quality targets are met at every stage.
  • Act as the primary point of coordination between internal business units, external partners and consultants on all project matters, while supporting company initiatives on sustainability, buildability and governance.
What we are looking for:
  • A degree in Architecture, Project Management/Construction, or a related field such as Civil/Structural/MEP Engineering.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience across the full development cycle, from design and project management to project administration and site execution.
  • Strong business acumen, stakeholder management skills and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to lead teams independently in a demanding, fast-changing environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo and apply value engineering to optimise design and project outcomes.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; based in Amsterdam.
