Job summary

WLG in Brunssum, Netherlands, is seeking an experienced network engineer to design, configure and deploy enterprise network infrastructure for deployable communications kits, supporting NATO mission exercises and real-world deployments.

You will write implementation procedures, test plans and technical documentation, maintain CM records and coordinate with security and service management teams, working on-site with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in computing, engineering or telecommunications with relevant experience.
• Alternatively, five years of strong practical network engineering experience.
• Proven ability to document procedures and configurations.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and integrate enterprise network infrastructure for deployable communications kits.
• Take builds through test, validation and deployment, including support to exercises and implementation projects.
• Support production deployments and the operational network once it is live, at engineering level.
• Produce implementation procedures, test plans, standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Maintain configuration management records so the estate is actually knowable.
• Work with platform, security and service management teams, and report monthly on performance.
