Our flagship product, the Buldak spicy noodle series, has captivated taste buds worldwide, making Samyang a household name for those who crave intense, unforgettable spice.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Demand Planner to optimize customer inventory levels and product availability in the market. Your duties will include managing and improving our demand forecasting activities, collaborating with sales and marketing teams and ensuring effective inventory management. A successful Demand Planner will be able to improve our demand forecast accuracy, identify potential supply and demand issues, and devise ways to minimize stock shortages.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyse and interpret demand patterns and their implications
2. Collaborate with sales and marketing to understand demand forecast drivers
3. Ensure the accuracy of inventory levels
4. Use statistical and analytical tools for forecasting
5. Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning process
6. Present forecast and inventory measurements to the manager and other teams
7. Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
8. Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
9. Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management
10. Schedule forecast review meetings with management on a regular basis
11. Ensure regular and on-time collection of reports needed for demand planning from customers

Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a Demand Planner
2. Strong knowledge of demand forecasting software and databases
3. Understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
4. Excellent analytical skills
5. Ability to communicate effectively
6. Capable of conducting insightful research
7. A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
