About the Assignment
Our client is embarking on a strategic initiative to centralize and streamline their data landscape. Your mission? To design and implement a reliable, auditable, and scalable data warehouse layer that integrates fragmented data sources, reduces manual processes, and accelerates reporting in Power BI.
You will lay the foundation for a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) on AWS, delivering immediate business value while ensuring scalability for future growth.
Your Key Responsibilities

- Integrate multiple data sources, including MariaDB, STIP/KNOX, PostgreSQL, and ABN/Calastone.
- Design and build three data layers: Raw, Curated, and Semantic.
- Set up monitoring, data lineage, exception handling, and logging for full transparency.
- Implement data quality checks and governance standards.
- Configure Power BI integrations for optimized reporting.
- Document data contracts, acceptance criteria, and operational runbooks.
- Ensure a smooth handover to internal engineers and administrators.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation).
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience building data pipelines and working with semantic layers.
- Familiarity with Power BI and performance optimization for dashboards and reports.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and drive structured approaches.
Why This Role Matters
