For one of our clients, we are currently looking for a motivated and curious Associate Data Analyst to support the business by delivering high-quality reports and uncovering valuable data insights that help solve defined business problems.

Contract

• Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands (onsite presence required)
• First contract: 6 months (+)
• Hours: 40 per week
• Salary: based on experience

Requirements before applying

• You need to be located in the Netherlands.
• Experience with: SQL, PySpark, Tableau or PowerBI.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience.

Role

As an Associate Data Analyst, you will collect, prepare and analyse data with limited guidance, selecting effective visualisations to translate insights into clear data stories. You will collaborate closely with peers in the data craft, your manager and various stakeholders, while continuing to develop your analytical skills and understanding of data analytics best practices.

Key responsibilities

• You will contribute to the delivery of data analytics solutions based on business requirements, supporting initiatives from initial idea generation through to implementation under supervision.
• You will consume, clean and prepare data for analytical use, working with limited guidance and regularly seeking input to translate business questions into meaningful analyses.
• You will support your team in achieving business objectives by providing reliable data insights.
• You will develop basic data visualisations, dashboards and reports, and continue learning how to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• You will actively seek support from peers and managers to clearly communicate results and outcomes.
• You will follow data analytics best practices and contribute to data quality and stability initiatives.
• You will continuously grow your own craft skills and collaborate closely with peers within the team and the wider data and analytics community.

• You have a bachelor's degree and up to one year of relevant experience in a data analytics or similar role.
• You have an analytical and curious mindset, with a strong eye for detail while maintaining an understanding of the bigger picture.

• You have strong interpersonal skills and an open, friendly attitude, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at different levels.
• You have knowledge and some hands‑on experience in data analysis, data visualisation and data collection.
• You are familiar with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Data Studio, Power BI, Mixpanel or similar.
• You have knowledge or awareness of at least one data analysis language such as SQL, Python or R.
