Job description

An international retailer operating across 20 countries is seeking a Data Readiness Lead to support a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. Reporting to the Head of Data, this role will focus on establishing the data foundations required for a successful ERP implementation, including master data management, data quality, governance, controls, and business readiness.

Working closely with business stakeholders, IT, and externa consultancy partner, you will define data standards, gather and challenge business requirements, help with data controls, and ensure data is fit for migration into SAP S/4HANA. The organisation currently lacks formal data definitions, governance frameworks, and data ownership structures, creating an opportunity for someone who can bring clarity, accountability, and structure to the programme.

You will be driving data readiness, validating requirements, monitoring progress, and addressing data quality issues before migration. Strong stakeholder management skills will be essential, as will the confidence to challenge existing practices and drive decision-making.

This role would suit a hands-on data professional with experience in SAP-enabled transformations who combines data governance expertise with strong programme delivery and stakeholder management skills.
