Job summary

Vattenfall Netherlands in Amsterdam seeks a Data Scientist to build data science and AI solutions that drive business value and support the energy transition. You will explore business problems, develop models, and collaborate with Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists across disciplines.

As part of the Data & Analytics team, you will apply Generative AI where appropriate, ensure model quality, privacy and human oversight, and deliver production-ready code within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• You have an academic degree with a strong quantitative component such as Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics or a comparable field.
• Professional work experience as a Data Scientist applying ML methods to real-world problems.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Comfortable in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop data science solutions from idea to implementation using ML and Generative AI to solve business challenges and create measurable value.
• Build and evaluate reliable AI solutions, considering quality, privacy, bias and human oversight.
• Write production-quality, reusable and testable code with Git, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Collaborate with Data & ML Engineers to ensure reproducibility, deployment and monitoring.
• Translate complex approaches into clear insights for stakeholders and iterate on solutions based on feedback.
