Job summary

IQVIA’s Amsterdam AI & Data Science Office seeks a data scientist to develop new products, enhance existing solutions, and support GenAI applications for healthcare clients.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply statistical methods and ML, uncover insights from complex datasets, and support predictive model development for patient and commercial analytics in a global, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, CS, software engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years in data science or advanced analytics; PhD with 1 year experience counts.
• Strong expertise in statistical and machine learning methods; GenAI apps a plus.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.
• Experience with Azure Cloud.
• Excellent communication; multicultural cross-functional team.
• Fluency in English; German a big plus.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and pharma data.

About the Role

• Design, development and deployment of innovative analytics solutions using Advanced Statistical Methods, Machine Learning and GenAI.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Software engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics role or PhD with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Strong expertise in Statistical & Machine Learning methods, experience developing GenAI applications is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.
• Experience with Cloud platform, especially Azure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural, cross-functional team.
• Fluency in German as big plus and English.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical market, experience with pharmaceutical data (medical, hospital, pharmacy, claims data).
