Job summary

Philips invites applications for an internship in Data Science focused on multidimensional market modelling within the Marketing Insights & Analytics team of IGT-S. The role involves building a validated methodology to coherently reconcile market observations across sources, balancing rigorous mathematics with business-oriented insights.

You will work with Marketing Insights & Analytics and other IGT-S stakeholders to deliver a scalable approach and a working proof of concept for future market

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics and quantitative modelling.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, optimization, probabilistic modelling or multidimensional data analysis.
• Ability to structure, transform and analyse large and complex datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality, model robustness and reproducibility.
• Ability to explain complex quantitative concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the existing market segmentation methodology and translate the business challenge into a mathematical and statistical modelling framework.
• Research and evaluate suitable statistical and mathematical approaches for multidimensional market reconciliation.
• Develop and validate a model that combines existing estimates with multiple market observations.
• Design the methodology to dynamically incorporate new information while maintaining a coherent overall market view.
• Establish validation methods to assess model accuracy, stability and robustness.
• Document the methodology and translate analytical findings into clear conclusions for business stakeholders.
