Rijkswaterstaat is the executive body of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and works daily to ensure a safe, liveable and accessible Netherlands.
The assignment falls within the Programs, Projects and Maintenance (PPO) cluster MN A-Roads. This cluster is responsible for the maintenance, inspections, and implementation of improvement measures for the main road network and associated structures in the central Netherlands.
Rijkswaterstaat uses various management systems to manage area information. This includes geographical information, technical documentation such as drawings and manuals, and information about the maintenance status and performance of the area. As an area information specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that this area information is and remains up-to-date. Data quality is always your top priority.
You'll verify that submitted data meets the required requirements and ensure it's processed correctly and promptly in the management systems. You'll also act as a sparring partner for the contractor and a resource within the project regarding area information. You'll ensure effective coordination with both internal and external stakeholders regarding data management.
If you identify opportunities for improvement within the data management process, you develop these into concrete and clear improvement proposals.
The work focuses primarily on the tactical and operational levels and is carried out in consultation with the Data Management team. This involves intensive coordination with project teams, contractors, and the management organization.
Purpose and positioning
The Data Manager Advisor supports the Technical Manager in setting up, coordinating and safeguarding data management around area information.
The role is tactical-operational in nature and provides strategic-tactical advice to the TM. The Advisor has no strategic ownership or policy responsibility.
1 The candidate offered has at least completed a higher professional education in a relevant field or demonstrably has a higher professional thinking and working level
2 Candidate must demonstrably have at least 3 years of experience as a coordinator/project leader in data management and/or area information (or a relevant specialist role).
3 The candidate offered has knowledge of and at least 2 years of demonstrable work experience with data requirements within civil engineering contracts.
4 The candidate offered has knowledge of decomposition standards such as NEN 2767-4
5 The candidate offered has knowledge of geographic information systems, document management systems and databases and maintenance management systems.
1 The candidate offered has knowledge of and at least 2 years of demonstrable work experience with RWS work processes and standards in the field of data management.
2 The candidate offered has knowledge and at least 2 years of demonstrable work experience with transferring data from third parties to RWS and vice versa.
3 Experience with UAV-GC and SCB and with NEN standards (e.g. NEN 2767-4)
4 Experience with GIS, DMS, OMS or databases (Ultimo, Relatics, Sharepoint).
5 Knowledge of RWS processes and DAG processes.
6 Experience with data transfer to management.
