Job summary

ING is seeking a medior Data Analyst for the Operational Performance Team in the Netherlands. You will strengthen the data-driven culture, build models, and deliver insightful analyses to support COO NL and senior stakeholders.

The role requires 3–5 years in statistical data analysis, proficiency in SAS/Python/SQL, and experience with Cognos/PowerBI. You will collaborate across domains, contribute to budgeting, and drive maintainable data solutions in a hybrid ING environment.

Qualifications

• An HBO/WO (Bachelor/Master) education in a quantitative field.
• 3-5 years of experience with statistical data analysis and data frameworks.
• Familiar with operational bank processes, IT tooling and service concepts.
• Broad practical experience with data preparation and analysis (SAS, Python, SQL).
• Experience with dashboard tooling (Cognos, PowerBI).
• Experience with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing (statistical) deep dive analyses on operational processes.
• Providing strong visualisations and numerical insights for periodical projects and day-to-day operations.
• Support with ING group and COO NL management reporting.
• Supporting junior data analysts in data models.
• Identifying functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders for automated data solutions.
• Maintaining day-to-day dashboards and answering ad-hoc data requests.
• Providing analytical support for yearly budgeting of the domains.
• Challenging current ways of working and driving real impact.
