Job summary

Gazelle Global seeks a Data Governance Expert for an 8 months+ contract in the Netherlands. The role focuses on translating policy and regulatory requirements into processes, controls and governance structures, while identifying risks and implementing improvements.

You will monitor compliance within a highly regulated environment, engaging senior management and global stakeholders, and driving initiatives from concept to implementation in both Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Law.
• Proven GDPR and privacy regulation expertise with relevant certifications.

Data Governance Expert

As a preferred supplier to one of our biggest financial organisations, I am seeking for a Data Governance Expert for an 8 months+ contract in Netherlands.

Responsibilities

The expert will translate policy and regulatory requirements into clear processes, controls, governance structures, guidance and work instructions. Additionality the expert will identify relevant risks and impediments and matching solutions, ensuring compliant and sustainable execution. Lastly, the role includes implementation of a solid framework to monitor compliance and identify improvements.

Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Law.
• Demonstrable expertise in GDPR and privacy-related regulation, supported by relevant certifications.
• Proven experience translating regulatory requirements into operational processes, controls and practical business solutions.
• Strong organizational sensitivity and the ability to balance regulatory, business and operational considerations.
• At least 7 years of experience in data protection, privacy, compliance or risk management.
• Experience operating in a highly regulated environment, preferably within financial services.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage constructively with senior management, control functions and global stakeholders.
• An autonomous working style, taking ownership and driving initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
