Job summary

Bunge Rotterdam is seeking a Data Engineer to collaborate with a multidisciplinary Agile team to build data pipelines and deliver analytics-driven insights across the enterprise. The role focuses on data architecture, ETL, reporting, and applying data science fundamentals to enable data-driven decision making.

You will work hybrid in Rotterdam, combining software engineering with analytics to support supply chain goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture.
• Expertise in SQL and data analysis; Python or Scala preferred.
• Experience building data warehouses in big data solutions.
• Experience with cloud services in data/analytics.
• Hadoop or BigQuery experience; diverse DB tech.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting, and governance.
• Agile, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentation.
• English proficiency at least B2 (B2+)

Responsibilities

• Participates in supply chain data product projects and develops ETL data pipelines.
• Solves data problems to deliver actionable insights for the supply chain team.
• Creates data products for analytics and data scientist teammates.
• Promotes sharing, reuse, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Develops and delivers communication plans on analytics capabilities.
• Partners with analysts and solutions architects on architectural initiatives.
