Job summary

FRG Technology Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and build modern, scalable data platforms in the cloud. You will tackle challenging data engineering problems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to solutions for data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in data engineering, strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and hands-on experience with the Azure data stack. The position offers a hybrid working setup with flexibility based on project needs.

For a client operating at the intersection of data, CRM and AI-driven insights, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help design and build modern, scalable data platforms in the cloud. In this role, you will play a key part in turning complex data into reliable, high-quality datasets that support analytics, automation and machine-learning use cases. You will work on challenging data engineering problems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to solutions that directly support data-driven decision-making.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms
• Develop AI-ready data architectures that support analytics and machine-learning workloads
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data quality, performance and security
• Implement and optimize solutions using modern Azure data services
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, developers and business stakeholders
• Translate business and user requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and best practices within the team

Your background

HBO / WO degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field

5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or data platform development

Strong programming skills in Python and SQL

Hands-on experience with the Azure data stack, for example:

• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Data Lake
• Azure Databricks
• Azure Synapse or similar

Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes and scalable data architectures

Experience with CI/CD, version control and automated deployments for data solutions

Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools

Experience with machine-learning integration or AI use cases is a strong plus
