We are seeking a reliable and motivated Data Centre Installer to support logistics operations for large-scale data centre project in Amsterdam.
This role is responsible for receiving, storing, organising and preparing IT equipment for deployment into hyperscale and AI data centres.
Working within a fast-paced warehouse environment, you will ensure materials are handled safely, inventory remains accurate, and equipment is delivered to installation teams on time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or logistics experience looking to move into the rapidly growing data centre industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries of IT equipment, server racks, networking hardware and associated materials.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, shortages and discrepancies.
- Unload vehicles safely using approved manual handling techniques and warehouse equipment.
- Pick, pack and prepare equipment for site deployment.
- Label and organise stock in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Coordinate the movement of materials between warehouse, staging areas and project sites.
- Prepare pallets and shipments for outbound deliveries.
- Ensure equipment is packaged securely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with loading vehicles for deliveries to data centre sites.
- Support returns, RMAs and damaged equipment processes.
- Follow all warehouse procedures, health & safety regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with logistics coordinators, project managers and installation teams to meet project schedules.
Required Experience
- Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience.
- Experience receiving and dispatching goods.
- Stock control and inventory management experience.
- Comfortable using pallet trucks and warehouse handling equipment.
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for inventory systems and scanning equipment.
- Ability to work in a physically active role.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with IT equipment or electronics.
- Previous experience within a data centre or technical warehouse.
- Forklift licence (Reach or Counterbalance).
- VCA Basic certification.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience preparing equipment for installation projects.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and logistics processes.
