Job summary

ATC is a global logistics, white-glove, and technical services specialist for data centres. The Data Centre Technician role focuses on installation and upkeep of cabling to guarantee seamless operation of hardware networks across customer sites in Europe.

The position offers training and advancement toward supervisory roles, with a fixed-term contract and three vacancies. Travel is required; visa sponsorship is not available. Remuneration is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Understanding of networking concepts and cabling standards.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting structured cabling (copper and fibre).
• Familiarity with testing tools such as OTDR, VFL, and power meters.
• Basic understanding of networking hardware (routers/switches).
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites following safety and procedures.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fibre and copper cabling infrastructure.
• Manage cabling in server racks, including patching and cable management.
• Inspect IT, server, and network equipment regularly.
• Install, relocate, disconnect, and decommission network/server/storage gear.
• Support infrastructure upgrades including fiber/copper cabling.
• Maintain records and update stakeholders on progress.
• Deliver professional customer service to clients and colleagues.
