Job summary

A premier data infrastructure firm is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support mission-critical infrastructure in Tjerkgaast, NL. This on-site role involves hardware installations, structured cabling, and server management. Ideal candidates should have 2+ years in data center environments, strong cabling skills, and the ability to lift heavy equipment. Certifications like CDCP or CCNA are preferred. The position offers flexible scheduling and project-based engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.

Skills

Data center or IT infrastructure experience

Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)

Professional communication skills in English

Education

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar)

Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+)

Tools

Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
