Job summary

Reboot Monkey seeks a Data Center Technician to support on-site operations at Schiphol Rijk. The role covers installing and maintaining server/network gear, performing structured cabling, and managing infrastructure documentation in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data center operations, strong cabling skills, and experience with rack and stack procedures, power distribution, and UPS systems. On-site work with on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Experience with rack and stack operations.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems.
• Data center certifications preferred (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE).
• Vendor certifications preferred (Dell, HPE, Cisco).
• Network certifications preferred (CCNA, JNCIA).
• Experience with DCIM platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
