Job summary

Google's data center facilities team in the Netherlands seeks a Mechanical Technician II to operate, monitor, and repair mechanical/HVAC systems essential for 24/7 data center reliability. You will read schematics, assist senior technicians, and help reduce costs while improving efficiency.

The role requires Dutch fluency, an associate degree or equivalent technical training, and 2 years of related experience. On-site position with shift flexibility and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in industrial/commercial environments.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and rotating shifts.
• Fluent Dutch for day-to-day operations with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center mechanical systems and piping.
• Operate and monitor HVAC, water pumps, and control/monitoring systems.
• Read blueprints and sequence of operations; conduct system tours.
• Respond to BMS alarms and client HVAC issues promptly.
• Maintain safety procedures and quality records.
