Job summary

Wipro Technologies is seeking a Data Center Engineer on a contract basis to manage day-to-day data center operations, install and decommission servers, monitor infrastructure, and support hardware troubleshooting. The role requires hands-on experience with servers, storage, and networking, plus ITIL knowledge, in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate with remote teams and on-site vendors, ensuring uptime and asset accuracy while adhering to security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in Data Center Operations or Infrastructure Support.
• Hands-on experience with servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day data center operational activities.
• Execute server installation, decommissioning, racking, stacking, and cabling activities.
• Monitor data center infrastructure and respond to operational alerts.
• Support hardware troubleshooting and replacement activities.
• Manage physical asset inventory and maintain accurate documentation.
