Job summary

Estarta Poland is seeking a Data Center Consulting Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of customer data center and infrastructure solutions. You will work with experienced architects and engineers on projects while developing expertise across infrastructure, networking, security, cloud, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ICT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of Compute/Virtualization: Windows/Linux servers, VMware vSphere, Kubernetes, SUSE Rancher, Azure, or Active Directory.
• Networking and Security: Cisco DC technologies (ACI, firewalls, VPNs) or similar.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell, Ansible, Python, and familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
• Security hardening principles and compliance with ISO 27001, BIO, and NORA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with collaborative attitude.
• Good communication and ability to work with customers and internal teams.
• Must be based in the Netherlands and travel domestically ~10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Support customer architecture frameworks and develop technical designs using ABBs, SBBs, and patterns.
• Support architecture delivery across Plan, Design, and Implementation and Lifecycle Services.
• Contribute to High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, and implementation plans with senior architects.
• Assist with infrastructure design across hybrid/private clouds incl networking, compute, OS, virtualization, and containers.
• Assist with automation/orchestration using PowerShell, Ansible, or Python.
• Support networking and security solutions, including Cisco DC technologies (ACI, firewalls, VPNs).
• Apply security-by-design principles and support ISO 27001, BIO, and NORA compliance.
• Participate in platform lifecycle reviews, health checks, risk assessments, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful customer projects and document configurations.
• Develop reusable technical solutions and automation assets and share knowledge.

We are looking for a Data Center Consulting Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of customer data center and infrastructure solutions. This is an opportunity to work with experienced architects and engineers on customer projects while developing technical expertise across infrastructure, networking, security, cloud, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support customer architecture frameworks and develop technical designs using Architecture Building Blocks (ABBs), Solution Building Blocks (SBBs), and established architecture patterns.
• Support architecture delivery across Plan, Design, and Implementation (PDI) and Lifecycle Services (LCS) engagements.
• Contribute to High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), Solution Design Documents (SDDs), and implementation plans in collaboration with senior architects.
• Support the design and deployment of infrastructure solutions across hybrid and private cloud environments, including networking, compute, operating systems, virtualization, and container platforms.
• Assist with infrastructure automation and orchestration using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Python.
• Support networking and security solutions, including Cisco Data Center technologies such as ACI, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Apply security-by-design principles and support compliance with relevant standards and frameworks, including ISO 27001, BIO, and NORA.
• Participate in platform lifecycle reviews, technical health checks, basic risk assessments, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with solution validation and the resolution of complex technical and infrastructure compatibility issues.
• Work closely with senior Customer Delivery Architects, Account Executives, Systems Engineers, and other technical teams to support successful customer project delivery.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configurations, design recommendations, and implementation plans.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and the development of reusable technical solutions and automation assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in ICT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in systems or platform engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Working knowledge of at least one of the following areas:
  • Compute and Virtualization: Windows/Linux server platforms, VMware vSphere, Kubernetes, SUSE Rancher, Azure, or Active Directory.
  • Networking and Security: Cisco Data Center technologies, including ACI, firewalling, VPNs, or comparable networking and security technologies.
• Basic scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Ansible, Python, or similar tools, and familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
• Basic understanding of security hardening principles and compliance frameworks, such as ISO 27001, BIO, and NORA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative attitude and willingness to learn from senior technical professionals.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal technical teams.
• Must be based in the Netherlands and willing to travel domestically approximately 10-15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA certification or currently working towards CCNP.
• Additional Cisco certifications.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, orchestration, and hybrid cloud technologies.
