Job summary

Philips is seeking a Data & AI Engineer to develop, deploy, and support scalable data, analytics, and AI solutions across Enterprise Informatics. You will collaborate with stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights and intelligent applications, automate processes, and improve operational efficiency.

You will design pipelines, models, and AI-powered solutions, ensure governance/compliance, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics or AI; 1 year with a master.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with data engineering, data modeling, APIs, cloud tech, and AI/LLM solutions.
• Experience with knowledge graphs, semantic tech, and provenance modeling using Neptune or similar.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Data Science, AI or related field.
• Cloud data platforms, LLMs, agent frameworks, IaC, and enterprise-scale data/AI deployments are a plus.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data & AI Engineer to develop, deploy, and support scalable data, analytics, and AI solutions that improve service and commercial workflows across Philips Enterprise Informatics. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, and platform teams to transform complex data into actionable insights and intelligent applications. You will help automate processes, improve operational efficiency, and enable better decision-making through trusted data and AI-driven solutions.

Your role:

• Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines that integrate data from multiple enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
• Develop reusable data models, KPIs, and analytical datasets in collaboration with business and data stakeholders.
• Build and support AI-powered applications, agent workflows, and intelligent automation solutions using modern AI technologies.
• Ensure data and AI outputs are accurate, explainable, and aligned with governance, privacy, and security standards.
• Implement testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices for data and AI products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that deliver measurable impact.

You're the right fit if:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in data engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field; or 1 year of experience required with a master’s degree.
• Skills: Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience in data engineering, data modeling, APIs, cloud technologies, and AI/LLM-based solutions. Experience with knowledge graphs, semantic technologies, and provenance modeling, using Amazon Neptune or comparable platforms.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Econometrics, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Additional: Preferred experience with cloud data platforms, large language models (LLMs), agent frameworks, infrastructure as code, and enterprise-scale data and AI deployments. Experience supporting service operations, commercial analytics, customer support, CRM systems, or workflow automation is considered a strong advantage.

Compensation & benefits
Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is € 61,185–€ 101,976. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations.
This role is eligible for incentive, with your rewards linked to KPIs/company results. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision.
