Job summary

Booking.com is seeking a Data & AI Governance Analyst to balance regulatory safety with rapid innovation. You will translate DMA, EU AI Act into practical guardrails, maintain the Data Catalogue and AI Registry, and partner with product and tech teams to ensure compliant, scalable governance.

You'll learn new tools, support governance rollout, and help drive measurable governance health across the organization, while working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, globally

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data governance, data quality or metadata management, or similar data roles.
• Understanding of metadata, data ownership and stewardship, data quality, lineage and classification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to document procedures for stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with action tracking.
• Willingness to learn new tools and ways of working; able to work with diverse teams.
• Nice to have: DAMA-DMBOK, GDPR, EU AI Act knowledge; DAMA CDMP Fundamentals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support governance framework rollout by turning concepts into simple steps for agile teams.
• Write, review, and maintain business definitions, glossary terms, and AI registry.
• Ensure alignment with standards; document governance processes.
• Investigate root causes and track remediations.
• Create guides and onboarding content to raise governance literacy.
• Maintain governance resources: policies, standards, guidelines, versioning.
• Monitor governance health and adoption metrics and track actions.
• Collaborate with business and tech stakeholders to translate policies into guardrails.
