Job summary

Milliman is seeking a Junior/Medior Data & AI Consultant for the Benelux region. The role focuses on modernizing analytical landscapes for financial services, migrating models to cloud platforms, and building scalable data pipelines.

You will collaborate with consultants, actuaries, and clients to deliver production-ready data solutions and AI-enabled workflows in a hands-on, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, AI or related quantitative field.
• Strong programming skills, preferably Python.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including databases, SQL, data modelling, and data structures.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Affinity with software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary consulting teams.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain modern data solutions for clients in insurance and financial services.
• Help migrate analytical and financial models from Excel and legacy environments to cloud-based platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and workflows for processing and managing large datasets.
• Design efficient data structures, databases, and data architectures.
• Support the implementation of AI and machine learning solutions within client environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
• Contribute to software development, automation, testing, and deployment of analytical applications.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in cloud computing, AI, and data engineering.
