Job summary

FedEx Express Netherlands B.V. seeks a Dangerous Goods Agent to inspect, accept, process and handle DG shipments in compliance with IATA/IMDG/ICAO and FedEx procedures. You will verify documentation, inspect packaging, and ensure regulatory compliance across DG operations.

Qualifications

• Secondary vocational education (MBO) level as a base requirement.
• DG certification (IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations) or willingness to obtain it.
• Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Accurate, responsible and safety-conscious.
• Strong administrative and communication skills.
• Experience in logistics, air freight or transportation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify documentation related to dangerous goods shipments.
• Inspect packaging and labeling of DG shipments.
• Process and register DG shipments in operational systems.
• Ensure shipments comply with IATA, IMDG, ICAO, and FedEx regulations and procedures.
• Advise colleagues on dangerous goods handling procedures and requirements.
• Identify and correct discrepancies, non-compliance issues, and safety risks.
• Maintain communication with customers, Operations, Customs, and internal departments regarding DG shipments.
• Prepare and review reports and compliance documentation.
• Support audits, inspections, and safety investigations.
