Job summary

SoftwareOne in Amsterdam is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to be among the first local SOC members, joining our established SOC in Warsaw to shape local processes and best practices. You will influence how security operations are delivered from day one and help build the Dutch SOC capability.

You will work with a cross‑border team within Europe, shaping processes, contributing to improvements, and growing with the role as security operations mature in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security Operations Centre (SOC) or similar security environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft security technologies and SIEM platforms.
• Understanding of threat detection, incident investigation and response practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured investigations.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in Dutch and English.

• Investigate and respond to security alerts, incidents, and cyber threats affecting customer environments.
• Monitor and analyze security events using Microsoft Security technologies and security monitoring platforms.
• Support threat detection, incident response, and security improvement activities.
• Work closely with customers, providing guidance and updates during security investigations.
• Contribute to SOC processes, operational procedures, and continuous service improvements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the European cybersecurity team and support the growth of the Dutch SOC capability.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will become one of the first local SOC team members in the Netherlands, working closely with our established Security Operations Centre in Warsaw. Together with a junior analyst joining the team, you will play an important role in shaping local processes, establishing best practices, and supporting the future growth of the Dutch SOC capability. What we need to see from you

• Experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC), cybersecurity operations, or a similar security‑focused environment.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Security technologies, security monitoring tools, or SIEM platforms.


• Understanding of cyber threat detection, incident investigation, and response practices.


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured approach to investigations.


• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in Dutch and English.
