Job summary

NN is seeking a Backup & Cyber Recovery Engineer in The Hague, working hybrid. You will design and improve backup and recovery solutions to ensure rapid, secure data restoration against cyber threats, collaborating with cybersecurity, infrastructure and compliance teams.

Responsibilities include automating workflows, running DR tests, and providing 24/7 support. The role requires expertise in enterprise backup/storage and hands-on scripting capabilities.

Qualifications

IT engineer with proven experience in enterprise backup or storage solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to lead by example.
Experience with Azure, AWS or VMware platforms; scripting and automation proficiency.
Familiarity with cyber recovery methods, immutable backups and ransomware.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and manage enterprise backup solutions and cyber recovery vaults.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure and compliance teams to align with policies.
Automate backup and recovery workflows using scripting and orchestration tools.
Run cyber recovery simulations and disaster recovery tests with IT and business units.
Provide 24/7 support, including ticketing and on-call shifts.
