Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Credit Controller-EMEA for a 1-year temporary assignment based in Hoofddorp. You will join a small team ensuring cash inflow across EMEA, with focus on pet owner master data and invoices. Fluency in Dutch and English is required; German or Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Credit Control team focusing on owner master data and invoices.

• Cover EMEA markets, primarily Germany, with Dutch and English fluency.

Job description

As a Credit Controller-EMEA you will have substantial company exposure. You will be working on numerous continuous process improvements as you develop into a subject matter expert. This position is for individuals with a passion for numbers and processes, great communication skills and technical savviness.

The Credit Control team at IDEXX has a pivotal position to ensure the cash inflow for IDEXX within EMEA. Together with 6 colleagues who speak a combined 10 languages you will be in daily contact with a full range of customers consisting of veterinary customers, large corporations, and government entities.

This is a Temporary position with a duration of 1-year.

In This Role

• You will be working within the Credit Control team, with a focus on pet owner master data and invoices.
• The main market will be Germany, but responsibility will also cover other EMEA markets. For this position it is required to speak Dutch and English fluently. Fluency in German or Portuguese is a strong add. Any other European language would be helpful in supporting the broader team.
• You may experience challenging customers who will need your support in developing a payment plan or resolving a dispute. You will need to be comfortable in this environment, able to solve problems and develop creative solutions.
• You will be tasked with pulling metrics, reports, direct debit runs and supporting monthly closing activities.
• You will collaborate successfully with other departments within IDEXX and add to a great experience for our customers.

What You Need To Succeed

• You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related study.
• You have at least two years of relevant working experience as a credit controller.
• You have technical savvy and are familiar with SAP and have a solid understanding of Excel.
• You are adept at dealing with pressure, have flexibility and have an eye for detail. These traits you can showcase from previous working experiences.
• You are an effective communicator and have strong negotiating and organizational skills that will set you up for success in this job.
• You have proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and MS Teams.
• You have a high level of accuracy and the ability to work effectively and independently.
• You are a team player with great communication skills and attention to detail.
• You have the ability to deal with changing priorities and challenges.
• You have emotional intelligence, humility, willingness to learn and take and receive feedback constructively.
• You possess high ethical standards and a positive attitude.
