Job summary

A leading international bank in Amsterdam offers a full-time internship for master students or graduates, lasting five to six months. As an intern, you will support the Corporate Coverage team by assisting in daily banking tasks, developing pitch books, and conducting ESG assessments. You will gain valuable exposure to various areas of finance and work in an international environment. Ideal candidates should have strong communication and analytical skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support relationship bankers in their daily work.
• Contribute to projects in Event Driven Finance and Debt Capital Markets.
• Assist with ongoing credit requests and perform ESG assessments.
• Work with the credit analyst team for ongoing credit requests (annual reviews and ad hoc requests).
• Perform ESG assessment of the client base.
• Assist in collection of legal, Compliance and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) information, feed internal systems and liaise with Due Diligence and Compliance teams for further distribution.

Overview

BNP Paribas S.A. in Amsterdam offers the opportunity to integrate immediately into the Corporate Coverage team in the Netherlands. We seek highly motivated Master students or graduates for a five to six months internship on a full-time basis.

In this internship, you will gain experience in different areas of the business and discover market-leading products and solutions first hand. You will work on day-to-day activities as well as special projects, contributing to the success of the team and helping customers achieve their financial goals. You will join the local team while working in an international environment, interacting with colleagues around the world.

What can you expect?

• Support relationship bankers in their day to day work.
• Contribute to the development of pitch books, monitor market & sector developments, and assist on ad-hoc commercial projects (Event Driven Finance, Debt and Equity Capital Markets as well as the Strategic Dialogue).
• Support the implementation of international transaction banking and lending deals.
• Work with the credit analyst team for ongoing credit requests (annual reviews and ad hoc requests).
• Perform ESG assessment of the client base.
• Assist in collection of legal, Compliance and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) information, feed internal systems and liaise with Due Diligence and Compliance teams for further distribution.

We are looking for:

• A graduate or a student in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Econometrics or another relevant field. If you have a different background but a strong interest in banking, you are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise across business lines and geographic regions to ensure effective delivery of credit proposals and client services.
• Analytical, client focused, team player, result-driven, fast-learner.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); Dutch is considered a plus.
