Job summary

Foot Locker in the Netherlands is seeking a Coordinator, Payroll to join our EMEA Payroll team. You will partner with HR, Accounting and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, acting as the subject matter expert on payroll for Spain.

The role emphasizes collaboration, process improvement and strong stakeholder communication, with a hybrid in-office schedule (~3 days per week) and eligibility to work in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of payroll, employment tax and social security legislation in Spain.
• High degree of PC Literacy with advanced Excel skills (Vlookups).
• Knowledge of ADP Payroll (Streamline, Global View, Celergo). PeopleSoft experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and perform data checks on payroll data from the field and output data to ensure accuracy.
• Manage payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll payments (salary, terminations, garnishments).
• Address queries from employees, HR, Finance and stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines.
• Keep up to date with changes in social security/taxes and inform other departments.

Overview

The Coordinator, Payroll is a key member of our EMEA Payroll team, working in partnership with the Human Resources, Accounting, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and will be the subject matter expert on all payroll processing matters for Spain.

Responsibilities

• Collect and perform data checks on payroll data received from the field before submitting to external payroll vendor, as well as perform checks on output data to identify discrepancies before finalizing payroll to ensure accuracy of payroll.
• Manage payroll vendors effectively to ensure accurate and in time payroll payments (salary, terminations, garnishments, and other third-party required wage deductions).
• Address queries from employees, HR team, Finance team and various other stakeholders in a timely manner to create a positive customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley guidelines.
• Keep up to date with changes in social security/taxes, and tax requirements and monitor the effect of these changes on the company and inform other departments when necessary.
• Assist in ADP Global View / ADP Celergo Payroll project by providing assistance on formulating requirements based on current processes, testing the new system and updating manuals on timely manner and support the managers and the payroll coordinators
• Document and maintain the payroll procedures manual for Spain.
• Function as a strategic partner and contribute system and process improvements for all key system implementations and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Knowledge or worked with ADP Payroll (Streamline, Global View, Celergo). PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear and effective communications skills.
