Job summary

Our client in Lelystad is seeking a hands-on Controller who not only handles the numbers but also collaborates with site management to improve performance. You will own P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and drive internal controls across the local site.

You will partner with management to analyze financial data, support operations, and implement cost-saving initiatives, while ensuring accurate reporting and compliant processes within a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• HBO or university-level education in Finance, Business Economics, Accounting or related field.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in controlling.
• Experience with P&L responsibility, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to act as sparring partner for management.
• Analytical, hands-on and focused on improvements.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Experience within logistics or a 3PL environment is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Advising management and operational leadership on financial and controlling topics
• Managing the full P&L and overseeing the local accounting processes
• Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Preparing sales invoices and coordinating with site managers and customers
• Developing and maintaining internal control measures

For the location in Lelystad, we are currently looking for a Controller who is not only responsible for the numbers, but also actively engages with the business and contributes to improvements. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the financial and operational performance of the site and act as an important financial sparring partner for management.
