Job summary

EWT Systems B.V. is seeking a Controller to strengthen financial control, reporting and forecasting across its international activities. You will bridge accounting, operations and management to support a robust finance structure.

The role involves consolidations, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and tax coordination, with a one-year contract for 28–40 hours per week in Amersfoort, NL. Fluency in Dutch and English is required and ERP expertise (Odoo) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level education in finance, controlling or accounting.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with international supply chain and project administration.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo, and ERP setup/implementation.
• Strong digital skills: advanced Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or similar tools.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (B2-C2).
• Hands-on mentality; analytically strong.

Responsibilities

• Monthly and quarterly reporting with analyses and variance explanations for internal stakeholders.
• Professionalizing consolidations, intercompany alignment and reconciliations.
• Improve reliability of financial information and implement policies/procedures.
• Cash flow management and forecasting; document and analyze investments.
• Coordinate budgets, forecasts and projections with scenario analyses.
• Prepare annual financial statements and support audits.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses for operational, commercial and strategic needs.
• Track international administrations and transfer pricing; support tax matters.

As our Controller you will be responsible for strengthening our financial control, reporting and forecasting here at EWT Systems B.V. You are the key between our accounting, reporting, operations and management activities, contributing towards a robust finance structure that fits the company’s project-based and international activities.

We are looking for a candidate who is available at short notice or within a reasonable timeframe.

Place in the organisation

You will be part of our Finance team (currently 3 people) and report to our CFO. You will work closely with our Operations department and Management Team.

Place of work

Your place of work will be our head office in Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

Key activities/responsibilities

• Monthly and quarterly reporting, including financial analyses, explanations of variances, proposals for improvement and clear communication to internal stakeholders;
• Professionalizing consolidations, including alignment between entities, substantiation of intercompany positions and reconciliation with periodic reporting;
• Increasing the reliability of financial information;
• Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures;
• Cash flow management and forecasting;
• Documenting and analyzing investments;
• Coordinating and creating budgets, forecasts and projections, including scenario analyses and substantiation of assumptions for management decision-making;
• Preparing annual financial statements and supporting the annual audit process;
• Performing ad-hoc analyses, preparing specifications and providing financial substantiation for operational, commercial and strategic matters;
• Tracking and updating international administrations and transfer pricing;
• Supporting us with tax-related matters, including corporate income tax, VAT and international tax positions, in cooperation with external advisors where needed.

What you bring:

• Our ideal candidate is an independent, analytical and pragmatic controller who is well-organized, takes ownership and can effectively switch between a level of detail and a management perspective;
• Bachelor level education, preferably in finance, controlling or accounting;
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with an international supply chain, project administration, and ongoing developments;
• Knowledge of, as well as experience with, both financial control and business control;
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo, as well as the setup and implementation of ERP systems;
• Strong digital skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and experience with Power BI or comparable reporting and analytical tools;
• Good command of both Dutch and English (B2-C2 level);
• Hands‑on mentality;
• Analytically strong.
